SoundVolumeView displays all volume levels on your system in a single place. This includes controllers, as well as applications. Anything that makes a sound can be fond in the same place. What's more, the application lets you change the volume for individual items and make other fine tweaks.

The application works on all popular Windows platforms and it doesn't need to be installed. All you have to do is extract an executable from a ZIP archive and run it. It doesn't have any special requirements and you don't need to sacrifice too many resources.

Once you run SoundVolumeView, you will immediately find a list of applications and devices. The application provides a wide range of details for each item, including name, type, direction, state, volume level and process ID. Double clicking an item will reveal the same properties, but on a separate window, where they are easier to read. What's more, the application lets you copy an item's properties to the clipboard.

You can increase and decrease the volume for selected items through hotkeys. Other than that, there is not much you can actually do. The application's purpose is to provide a large amount of information and to help you identify specific sound sources.

Anything that makes a sound on your system can be found and controlled on SoundVolumeView's clean and efficient interface.

Pros

You can control all volumes on your system in a single place. The application provides a huge amount of information. Also, it lets you copy and export that information.

Cons

There are no volume sliders to be found.
